What you need

Steps

  1. Canada411 lists numbers published in phone directories. The surest fix is asking your phone provider for an unlisted number, which removes you from Canada411, directory assistance and printed directories.
  2. To leave only Canada411, ask your provider to send Canada411 a removal request. If your provider doesn't take part, Canada411's help page explains sending a recent phone bill instead.
  3. Check back after 2 business days.

Landlines and some VoIP lines are listed. Most mobile numbers aren't.

Will it come back?

Often, yes. People-search sites keep buying fresh data, so listings can reappear after a few months. Search for your name on the site again every few months. Sorrel Identity's free dashboard reminds you when it's time.
